GAS LAMP PLAYERS & GAS LAMP JUNIOR

For the past two decades, GLP has provided to residents of Glen Ridge and neighboring communities the opportunity to participate in the production of amazing shows.  In the words of longtime participant, master carpenter, and sometimes performer,  Bob Griffin:

Community theater is one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable activities that I have ever undertaken. Gas Lamp Players is a truly remarkable organization that exemplifies everything good in community theater.  Everyone becomes one big extended family and all, from the very youngest to the most senior of our performers, bond and grow to know and love one another ... while doing something extremely positive, very educational and that truly teaches a sense of community.  It provides an opportunity to kids who aren't necessarily otherwise involved in sports, band or other activities and occupies them for months with a true sense of purpose. For us adults, it helps to keep us young and in our children's lives.  None of that is possible without the hard work and dedication that you have all shown... I just want to thank you again for giving Emma and Sara a very meaningful first theater experience this summer.  . I just had to tell you what an amazing job you did with the Wizard of Oz. It was an amazing production! I was an actor for many years, and have to say the performances from the cast of children was equal to or better than many adults I have worked with!! What a tremendous job you all did!!
